ISHO started in Bangladesh with a factory, a
design studio and one stubborn idea: that the
gap between the home you want and the
home you can afford shouldn’t exist.
So, we closed it. We design everything
ourselves and we make everything ourselves,
in our own factory. No middlemen, no
licensing, no mark-up for the sake of it. Just
beautiful furniture at prices that make sense.
Named for Somewhere Real
Every ISHO collection is named after a place, and the name is never decoration.
Ratargul is a swamp forest in Sylhet where cane has been worked for generations, so the Ratargul series takes that cane out of traditional craft and puts it into a low, clean, modern frame. Williamsburg has the deep cushions and honest lines of the mid-century American design that the Brooklyn neighbourhood brought back into fashion. Knole borrows a bobbin-turning technique that has been around since the 17th century. Aarhus, Malmo, Chantilly, Navigli, Elgin, Dessau. Each one starts with somewhere we love and something we noticed there.
We do it this way because a room full of things that mean something feels different to a room full of things that were simply available.

We Watch How People Actually Live
Before we design anything, we spend time working out how people really use their spaces. Not how a catalogue says they should. Where the bag gets dropped. Which corner gets the good light. How many people end up on a two-seater when everyone comes round.
That is why our pieces are built for real flats and real houses. Proportions that work in small rooms. Colours you would actually choose. Details that survive daily life.
Made by Us, Start to Finish
We own our factory. That means we control the materials, the quality and the price. Solid mahogany. Cane. Velvet, faux leather and fabric we have chosen ourselves. Engineered wood where it actually makes a piece better, and we will always tell you where.
It also means that when we say something is well made, we know, because we made it. Our concept studio and innovation lab exist for one reason: to keep finding better ways to build things that last.
